Netzero AQUA is an early-stage company and we hire when the work requires it rather than to a headcount plan. Applications are open year round, and every one is read by the people doing the work.

What you would be joining.
Netzero AQUA is pre-launch. The farmer app, the farm buddy app and the satellite analysis are built and working, and we are onboarding the first farms in coastal Andhra Pradesh through farm buddies.
That means the work is unglamorous and close to the ground: fewer meetings, more time in the delta, and decisions that are still small enough for one person to make and live with. If you want a company with a hiring plan and a career ladder, this is honestly not that yet.
The standing need
Farm buddies, district by district.
This is the role we are always looking for, in every delta district we have not reached yet. It is not a support job — it is the product. Everything the software knows about a farm was put there by a buddy standing at the water.
Farm buddy
You cover one district. You register farmers, trace their ponds on satellite imagery on site, collect the Coastal Aquaculture Authority details, hand over logins in person, and stay the person a farmer phones when the water looks wrong at dusk.
- Based in the district you cover, not visiting it
- Comfortable on a smartphone, outdoors, one-handed
- You know aquaculture, or you are prepared to learn it from farmers rather than from a manual
- Approved by an administrator before you can register anyone — official addresses only
What to put in the email
There is no form and no applicant tracking system. It is one inbox, read by people who are also doing the work — so four specific lines beat a long CV.
- Which district you live in — and how long you have been there.
- What you know about shrimp farming — including “nothing yet, but my family farms” if that is the honest answer.
- What you would want to work on here — in a sentence. Field, software, aquaculture, something else entirely.
- A number we can reach you on — that is the whole application.

We are not currently advertising roles beyond the field team. If your work overlaps with what is below, write anyway and say what you would do in your first month — a small company hires far more often from a good unsolicited email than from a posting.
Remote sensing
Landsat-9 and Sentinel-2 through Microsoft Planetary Computer. If you can tell us honestly where our proxies are weakest, that is a conversation we want to have.
Aquaculture
Vannamei practice and CAA regulation. The density bands, the FCR ranges and the advice in the app all need someone who has actually run a crop standing behind them.
Field operations
Coordinating buddies across districts, training, and keeping the quality of what gets recorded high as the number of farms grows.

You will hear back from a person. If it looks like a fit we talk properly — about the delta and about the work, not through a puzzle round. For field roles the last step is a day out with a buddy, because that is the only honest way for either of us to find out whether the job suits you.
